Yoga is a set of ancient practices stemming from the Hindu belief system in India. It is believed that practicing Yoga can give a person profound insight into themselves and the universe. There are many different forms of Yoga, and each one touching on a different aspect of a person's life. In many Western cultures, the word “yoga” is associated only with Hatha Yoga, the branch of Yoga concerned with meditative poses and breathing exercises.
